Unifuse LLC, Designs and Produces the Custom Case for The Ground Zero Flag.
Staatsburg, NY, May 4 – Unifuse LLC, a privately held plastic molding and mold fabrication company, has been contracted to produce a virtually indestructible handling and transport case at the request of The Ground Zero Flag. Org, a volunteer organization dedicated to the service and memory of the first responders to the terrorist attacks on New York City on September 11, 2001.
The Ground Zero Flag organization is the caretaker of the 60-foot x 30-foot American Flag that watched over the Ground Zero site in lower Manhattan for more than two months during the rescue and recovery operations. The case is produced by Unifuse’s patented vibrational molding process that creates virtually indestructible plastic products.
The first use of the Ground Zero Flag case will be on May 28 at the N.Y. Mets Citi-Field Veteran's Tribute. Subsequent events include the flag raising, display and folding ceremonies at 116 Mott Street, NYC September 7 to 25, and ceremonial events at the New York City Veteran's Day Parade, to be held 11/11/11, at 23rd Street and 5th Avenue, NYC.
